This was a sketch challenge for split coast stampers. I chose to do a Halloween theme. This spider looks happy, but I hope he doesn't make it out of the jar!

This challenge on Split Coast was to use "blocks" of color.  I pulled out an old stamp set I have and liked what I came up with!

This was the second card I posted to be a "guest designer" for Split Coast Stampers.  The challenge was to use 3 of your favorite technics.  I used braying, heat embossing and pop up dimensionals.  I love this stamp set!

One day I got onto Split Coast Stampers and they were having a contest to win a spot as a "guest designer" for their "keep it simple" cards.  I entered this card and the card that I'll post tomorrow and actually one a spot in December as a guest designer.  It should be fun.  This challenge was to use colors of your favorite sport team.  I don't have a favorite sport team, so I reverted back to my high school years.  Go DHS!!!

Long periods of time seem to come and go between my postings to this blog!  I keep waiting for my life to settle down.  I thought that would happen when school started.  It hasn't happened yet!  I have been having a hard time getting my creative juices going and so have been doing some of Split Coast Stampers challenges.  This was for a CAS (keep it simple) challenge.  I like the final result . . . . .

When my daughter was here visiting, we sat down and did a little stamping.  This is what I did.

I just recently bought this stamp set with children in it. I bought because . . . a. I could color it. b. I've been looking for stamps with "personality" not just an inanimate object . . . . This set fit the bill.

I did this card for swap in April. The theme was masculine. I did "little" boy! I am mesmorized by watercoloring and coloring in general. My outlining looks shaky, but with my family history, shaky is just the norm . . . . No surgeons here!

The theme for the day for this one was "birds." I had fun with this one!

Eeeek! it's been a while since I posted!  I know . . . . old story . . . . .

I decided this week to participate in the daily "challenges" that split coast stampers has to feed my inspiration, or lack thereof, I should say.  This was a design sketch challenge.  They give you the design and you fill in the blanks.  Here is the design:

And this is what I came up with.

The "pot" for the flower is punched using a Christmas ornament punch.  Cutting the bottom off makes a cute little pot I think . . . . . .

This is another card for the month we had "folds" as a theme for swap.  I found the pattern for and folded these little oragami dresses.  14 cards . . . 28 dresses, in different colors . . . .

I love these whimsical little flowers.  I've been seeing cards with white gel pens and wanted to try it.  This is the result.

There is something about trees that I really like . . . .

I was goofing around with a Christmas theme for this one.  This reminds me of a sculpture from where I used to live on the "Great Salt Lake"!!

A very clean and simple card.
