Well, I haven't posted for a while, but since I'm investing in this stamping thing, I probably ought to start dabbling again. Here is what I've done with a new stamp set and some new papers I've purchased.

This card would not scan correctly. The stripes go all the way up through the card and I think look very classy. This card and the next three cards I wanted to keep very simple. They were quick and fun to make.

Thank You Cards.

Another layout challenge for split coast stampers. . . . an oriental flare.
For split coast stampers, the layout challenge. I really wanted to try something in yellow and black. The stripes just evolved.
For split coast stampers the theme was travel. The background on this is postcards, and I found the saying on the Internet. Very simple card.

I haven't sat down to make a card in almost two weeks. I've been busy and I've been sick :(
Today I had to go and see what the color challenges were on split coast stampers and decided to do this one. For anyone familiar with split coast the number is CC167. This was a fun one!

My Son's Birthday Card

It is fun to make a card with a certain person in mind. McKay loves baseball and so I did baseballs in the background and I just happened to have a picture of him with a bat in his hands. I really am enjoying the cuttlebug embossing also. I thought the circles fit this card. The cuttlebug tag cutting die is fun also.

This is the card we made for May card club. The size of the card is 3X3. It is pretty small. In this first picture it is folded up.
In this picture it is partly opened . . . . .
and in this one all the way opened. The technic we used, besides folding the card was two-step stamping.

May Card Club Cards

This Card is Eryn's and is much cuter in person. A onesey! Very creative!

This is Ginger's first card club card . . . . not that she is a new member just a very busy lady! Very Nice Ginger!

Kiersten's Card - The "congrats" pops up. Love the colors!

This one is by Monica's Sister. The green part is the part that opens, and it is mounted on the neutral base. There is a clip with a ribbon attached to attach money too.

Rachel's card. This suits Rachel, she makes and decorates all kinds of cakes. The cake on the card pops up. This one is better in person also. Very elegant.

This is for a combined challenge for splitcoaststampers. The sketch and colors were a given . . . . and then you come up with the rest. I like the circle split in half. It looks like an s-curve.

Gift Card Holders

These are the cutest little cards. I made them for the technic challenge on split coasters. They are gift card holders!!! Here is a tutorial:
and a visual tutorial (although words are in german the pictures as they say
speak a thousand words)

This is a close up view of one of the gift-card holders. I'm practicing my watercoloring. . . It is getting better!

This is for the sketch challenge. The polka dots are dry embossed with the cuttlebug, and the tag is punched with a cuttlebug die cut. Cute, egh?

This was a technic challenge. You take a double sided pre-printed paper, and fold it many different ways to get this cool double pocket card. Here is a link to a tutorial:

This one I did a "ways to use it" challenge. We were suppossed to use rub-ons, but when I went to rub-on my sentiment I realized it was a sticker and not a rub-on!!

Another split coast stampers challenge. It was a color challenge, the colors were Certainly Celery, Chocolate Chip, and Pretty in Pink. My dogwood tree out front is blooming and looks somewhat like this pink tree :) The background is embossed with the cuttlebug, and the tag was a cuttlebug die cut also.

For split coast sketch challenge . . . . . I am really enjoying these, they inspire me to try different designs and technics I never could have thought of myself.

Just for fun! A springy card, using a cuttlebug embossing folder for the background.
For this weeks color challenge. We needed to use groovy guava, basic grey and Oh Darn! can't remember the name blushing . . . . . a lighter pink color!!

Flap Cards

On split coast stampers there was a challenge to make "flap cards." I kind of went crazy and made a few of them. This one says "so very sweet."

You can see how the flap works on this one. They used magnets to keep the flap closed. I don't have magnets so I just cut a slit that the flap could attach to and stay down. Works really well.
On all the cards I used my new cuttlebug to dry emoboss the cards!! The embossing is so pretty it could just be all of the design in my opinion.
Inside this one says "Life is a picnic, eat hearty" The bugs belly is raised with crystal effects, a stampin up product.
