Card by Bobby.  We got two this time, one blue and one pink!  I love this!  I'm sure she did this with the Cricut.

Card by Roz.  This is soooo cute!  The spots on the giraffe are raised . . .  probably crystal effects.  I love how she offset the border and added the dots.  Inside the sentiment is "the soul should always stand ajar, ready to welcome the ecstatic experience."

Card by Terri.  This is the same stamp set as Jocelyn's card yesterday.  It is amazing how different, but how cute each card is!

Card by Jocelyn.  Theme is baby.  This is so cute.  The elephant is "popped up."

Baby card by Dela, cute onsies!

Card by Kiersten.  Isn't this graphic great?  Love the colors, the paper and the entire card.  This is a 4X4 card.  A little smaller than normal. . . . . and I know JUST the person I'm sending this one to!

Carol's card.  Have you ever heard the poem:  I see the moon, and the moon sees me.  God bless the moon, and God bless me."  ??  That is what this card reminds me of . . . . . . awwww, sweet!

This is my card . . . . remember the theme is baby.  I pulled out an old set that I love and used it.  The ear is raised with a dimensional and the flower is cut out . . . yikes!

This is the early bird card.  I don't have to stay with the theme for either the "technic" or the "early bird" card, and since is was valentines day in the next month I thought this would be fun.  This is only a 3X3 card.  It uses masking and shadow stamping (where you start with a fully inked stamp and stamp it a couple of more times with the ink that is left).  You can't tell, because the background of the picture is black, but the card is actually black too!

January Card Club

So, I'm way behind on posting cards.  I'm going back to January where our theme was "baby."  I saw this card somewhere else and just thought it was sooooo cute!  The technic that I taught was masking.

I keep resisting buying this butterfly punch . . . . but the more I see it the more I wonder.  I'm loving the orange!  Do you see how each butterfly is embossed with something different.  Dry embossing on 3 and heat embossing on the fourth, which is adhered to the inside of the card and shows through, through a punched opening.  She probably had to cut down that fourth butterfly to make it work so well.

This is Terri's card (made by Jocelyn!!)  Embossing is dry. . . . the starfish and blue paper.  I love cards that can be used for both men and women!

Roz's card.  The middle part of this card has a clear embossed glaze to it.  I can't believe that she actually cut this into strips and wove them back together.  I like!!!  This has an oriental feel about it.

This is Carol's card.  It's kind-a funny that we used the same idea for our card.  I love how hers turned out.  She used bigger blocks and so this card is a bigger card.  I love the colors and the extras she added to it.  A very elegant card.

This is Dela's card.  I love trees.  I wonder if she has punches for these.  Fun!  The blue is heat embossed.  Great job, Dela!

This is Jane's card.  It is a really fun card also!  I love how she used printed paper for the flowers and that the pink and yellow flower have white embossing in the middle.  The pot is dry embossed.  What a fun way to attach a sentiment!  rick-rack . . . . . oh so fun!

Jacque's card.  When I first saw this card, I thought it was a completely fun card!  I love the tree and the bright colors!  In real life, the middle flower's are all more neon in color.  The hills in the background are dry embossed and the middle of the flowers are brads.  Cute!

This is Bobby's card.  Ooooooo, I love black and yellow together.  This card is so elegant.  The background is dry embossing.  She used textured paper.

This is LeeAnn's card.  Same colors as mine!!!  The burgandy band goes all the way around the card.  Paper is dry embossed and all the stamping is embossed also.  Nice, LeeAnn!

Thursday, March 10, 2011

This is my card for card club.  I started with a piece of whisper white paper and embossed the white design.  Then I stamped versamark on the paper and then brayed on the "bravo burgandy" color.  The technic is called "emboss resist, resist" because the ink resists the embossing and the versamark.  I thought it turned out nice.  The paper in the background is becoming one of my favorites.  I think it's called crumb cake.

Early Bird Card

We also had a "early bird" card.  Anyone on time or early can make this card, and boy has it changed how the club goes.  Everyone is there on time!  Wow, I had to take a lot of materials to make this little 3X3 card.  The technic was the "kissing" technic, where you use a background stamp as an ink pad.  We curled up the wire on a tiny screw drivers, driver . . . . . . hmmmmm.

March Card Club

Well!  Here I am.  3 months behind again on posting card club cards.  I'm going to start with the most recent ones and then try to catch up.  One card a day.

So this month our theme was "anything embossing" meaning that the card just needed to have some sort of embossing on it.  There are some very nice cards!  But first I'm going to post this one.  This is the card that I demonstrated, which, by the way, does NOT have embossing on it.  I can demonstrate anything I wish!

The technic is to make a quilt square.  This is the star pattern.  OH!!!  there IS embossing on this.  The quilt square has dry embossing to make the quilt look "quilted."  I liked this card, but I don't mind putting tiny things together.  Cutting enough squares for the whole club, was indeed, another thing!  It was fun though!
